DEC. 6, 2019 -- CORRECTION

ABOVE --  A Rockwell Kent drawing taken from his autobiography, It's Me O Lord (1955).

BELOW -- From the Nov. 7, 1926 Brooklyn Daily Eagle (NY).

NOTE -- I made a correction in the last entry. The document from France seems to be a filing for a divorce between Rockwell and Kathleen -- on June 18, 1925. The newspaper articles I posted are dated almost a year later on March 13, 1926 and say that the divorce has been granted. Kent then marries Frances (Higgins) Lee on April 5, 1926. It is possible that the French document does actually grant the divorce and that Rockwell and Kathleen kept it quiet and word didn't reach American newspapers until the next year. That's why I would still request that any reader fluent in French and English, translate the document for me and post it as a comment as part of the last entry. Most written accounts about Kent's first divorce say it happened in 1925. The newspapers seem to indicate it was 1926.
